Bio
As a scientific associate at imec-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, I conducted research on the digital literacy level of the Belgian population from 2016 to 2020. I investigated the thresholds individuals experience to engage in the digital world, the evolution of the digital skill level, the motivation to use digital media, and more. My focus was mainly on qualitative research methodologies (focus groups, in-depth interviews, co-creation sessions). From 2018 to 2020, I worked on a project that aimed to develop an e-inclusive smart city strategy for the Brussels Capital Region. This project was supported by Innoviris. As of 2020, I am working as a project and communication assistant at the Knowledge Centre Data & Society, the central hub for legal, social and ethical aspects of data applications and artificial intelligence. I, for example, design tools and methods that help our audiences to create trustworthy data applications and artificial intelligence.
