Development of an autonomy insurance system in Brussels

Following the 2016 preparatory study, the aim of this study was to accompany the Joint Community Commission (CoCom/GGC) in the concrete development of an autonomy insurance system for the Brussels Region. The study comprised three sections:

– a needs analysis to define more clearly the needs that are relevant in this context, to establish the profiles of potential beneficiaries and to present the costs of some potential packages of services.

– an actuarial analysis, which identifies the funding possibilities under the various scenarios arising from the needs analysis.

– legal and legislative assistance: guiding the legislative process associated with the introduction of an autonomy insurance (drafting of a preliminary draft ordinance).
