Rembert De Blander is a methodologist. He holds a PhD in economics with the subject “Endogeneity and Heterogeneity in Panel and Cross-Sectional Data” (KU Leuven). He is also a Civil Electrotechnical Engineer (KU Leuven), Licentiate in Sociology (VUB), Master of Statistics (KU Leuven) and Master of Irrigation Engineering (KU Leuven). His research interests are mainly in the field of applied structural (panel data) (micro) econometrics / statistics. Examples are estimating the causal effect of providing biodiversity services on the cost structure of farms, the causal effect of outplacement on unemployment duration or the causal effect of release modalities on (probability / duration to) recidivism.
