Bio

Esli Struys is a professor of applied linguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel with a focus on multilingualism. His PhD was the first to investigate the brain development of multilingual children in Brussels. Now, he still conducts and supervises research projects on multilingualism, cognition and education, with a special interest in Brussels. He has been involved as a supervisor in a BSI-led research project on the implementation of a Brussels-based bilingual teacher training programme, and has been a member of the STIMOB steering committee on multilingual education in Brussels primary schools.
