State and spatial injustice. Urban training in Brazil and Latin America and the challenges of the Master Plan of the City of São Paulo (2014).
Urban training in Latin American countries follows a very particular logic, linked to the dynamics of the historical formation of the State and society in these countries. Governance dynamics are highly influenced by this, and transform the development of urban planning and other public policies into a complex management challenge, from a political, economic and cultural point of view.
The course will discuss these themes based on the reality of the City of São Paulo and the recent development of its Master Plan (2014).
