Martino Tattara

Bio

Martino Tattara (Architect, PhD) is Associate Professor at KU Leuven, Faculty of Architecture. His research and teaching focus on issues related to the transformation of domestic space in relation to recent pressing socio-economic challenges. Together with Dogma, the architectural practice he has co-funded with Pier Vittorio Aureli, he has developed projects and studies that have been exhibited at different venues, among which the HKW Berlin 2015, the Biennale di Venezia 2016 and 2021, the Chicago Architectural Biennial 2017, the Flemish Architectural Institute in Antwerp and the Sharjah Architecture Triennale in 2019. He has recently published Living and working (with P. Aureli, The MIT Press, winner of the DAM Architectural Book Award 2022) and has co-edited Contested legacies, a book that tackles the transformation of large-scale post-war housing estates (with A. Migotto, Leuven University Press, 2023). He is currently working on a critical reassessment of Brazilian architect Lucio Costa’s project for Brasilia.
