Verlinde Sara

Bio

Dr. Sara Verlinde specializes in City Logistics. Her joint PhD in Economics and Geography (May 2015 at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University) researched freight flow consolidation concepts and off-hour deliveries. Today, she is a postdoctoral research associate in the research group MOBI – Mobility, Logistics and Automotive technology where she is responsible for the City Logistics team. She led the evaluation activities in the European projects Straightsol (Strategies and Measures for Smarter Urban Freight Solutions – FP7) and Civitas Citylab (City Logistics in Living Laboratories – H2020). She is involved in national research projects on off-hour deliveries, omnichannel retail and circular economy.
