This talk, delivered in cities including Antwerp, Belfast, Limerick and Belgrade, tells the story of Design for London (led by Brearley in its final years), its mission, way of working, and some of its achievements.
Those achievements included promotion of a shift in attitude to public space, pushing forward a substantial catalogue of initiatives and projects, and kicking-off investigation of the fine-grained geography of the city’s economy.
First delivered 2012, Antwerp. Again 2013 and 2015.
