Michel Vandenbroeck is hoofddocent gezinspedagogiek en vakgroepvoorzitter van de vakgroep sociaal werk en sociale pedagogiek. Zijn onderzoek gaat over beleid en praktijk inzake gezinnen, met een nadruk op jonge kinderen. Hij bestudeert onder meer in- en uitslutiingsprocessen in kinderopvang, kleuterschool en opvoedingsondersteuning in contexten van toenemende diversiteit.
