URBANWORLDTALKS #1. SOFIA – GREEN SPACES & INEQUALITIES

// Brussels is a small global city. It shares many challenges with other cities in the world: increasing socio-spatial inequalities, superdiversity, access to the labour market and employment. During this cycle, Brussels Academy will bring together experts and civil society from all over the world to understand the realities of these global cities and draw new inspiration for the capital.

THIS MONTH:
➞ Introduction by researcher 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙚̈𝙡 (VUB)

Access to green public spaces is of course essential in urban areas.
However what happens when these spaces are unevenly distributed in the city ? Who has access to them and how qualitative are these spaces?
VUB reseacher Charlotte Noel will introduce us to these concerns

➞ Thereupon 𝙑𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣 𝙆𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙫, 𝙇𝙖𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙣 & 𝙍𝙖𝙛 𝙄𝙡𝙨𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙚𝙠𝙭 from the project 𝙐𝙍𝘽𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙏, will present how they work on ‘green corridors’ in underserved city districts in Sofia & Brussels. They will share their experience in trying to co-create a long lasting healthy public space with the inhabitants.

➞ Lastly you are all invited to ask your questions to the speakers

See you then !
