BSI-citydev.brussels 2019 Chair: Mark Brearley

The Brussels Studies Institute and citydev.brussels have the honour to invite you to the inaugural lesson of the BSI-citydev.brussels Interuniversity Chair which will take place on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2.30pm at the Solvay Library. For the fourth edition of the BSI-citydev.brussels Chair, English urban planner Mark Brearley will be welcome. Registration for the chair is free, but mandatory

Mark Brearly led the creation of Cass Cities, a bold programme to strengthen the role of the prestigious School of Architecture at Metropolitan University in London in shaping the city of London. He is closely involved in directing and teaching the Cass Cities Unit, Cass Cities MA (land use and urban planning), MA by Project and Dissertation Studio 13: Making in London programme. He leads Mark Brearley’s Cass office and also owns Kaymet, a manufacturer of aluminium trays and sideboards in Bermondsey.

Once again this year, inaugural lessons will be followed by a series of courses open to all at the Faculty of Architecture of the ULB La Cambre-Horta, followed by two seminars reserved for professionals, organised by Saint Louis and the VUB. The full programme will be announced shortly.
